1. Ugandan passport holders (except diplomatic passport holders) are required to have visa to enter Turkey. Here are the procedures for obtaining a Turkish visa.

2.Applicants are no longer required to take an appointment with the Embassy.All visa applications are physically carried out at the exclusive visa handling office (Turkish Route)located at6th Floor Suite B, Plot 9 Yusuf Lule Road (Next to UNDP Office) Kampala,from Monday to Friday 9:00 to 17:00 except public holidays.No prior appointment is necessary.

3. Applicants need to present a valid (minimum 1-year validity is mandatory) passport. Non-Ugandan citizens must present at least 1-year valid Work Permit or Residence Permit in Uganda.

4. During the application, a number of questions and supporting documents – such as company/work documents, invitation letters, bank statements, flight and hotel bookings etc. – will be asked. If such documents are not available, the applicants may opt for N/A (Non available / Non applicable) statement. However, applicants should consider that the more complete the application, the more probable is the positive outcome. Please note thatthis is not an interview, it’s just the procedure for completing the application form, which was previously done online.

5.Please note that the visa handling office has no authority over the decision-making process. An interview by phone or by invitation may be conducted by the Embassy/Consular Section.

6.The average touristic/business visa processing time is two weeks. We advise all visa applicants to schedule their travel plans accordingly. Frequent travelers are encouraged to apply fora multiple entry visa, whichmaybe granted up to 3 years.

7. A valid travel insurance is mandatory for all applicants. Applicants who do not already have a valid and credible travel insurance may obtain an insurance from the visa handling office, at the prices indicated below.
