Distinguished members of the Muslim community in Luwero,
Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I am delighted to be with you today, in the blessed month of Ramadan, on the occasion of the opening of this beautiful Mosque, namely Gül Mosque.

“May the endless praise be to the Almighty Allah (swt) who reaches us once again to the month of Ramadan, that is a climate of mercy, blessing and forgiveness.

I wish that we will spend this month with feelings of unity and solidarity.

As you know, the word "mosque" means gathering, coming together.

Our mosques are not only places of worship, but also educational and social service institutions. They are also places that play an important role in keeping young people away from bad habits, raising them as useful individuals for society, and ensuring women's more active participation in social life.

The Islamic school represented by Türkiye is an understanding that stands against extremism in religion.

Our mosques are places where the values recommended by Islam such as peace, tolerance, mutual love and respect are taught.

I believe that useful activities with this understanding will be carried out in this mosque.

I would like to thank the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Türkiye Diyanet Foundation and the relevant Ugandan authorities, which enabled the construction of this mosque, as well as everyone who contributed and supported.

I wish the opening of our mosque to be auspicious, and I would like to thank all our friends who came together here on the occasion of this opening.

May Ramadan unite us all in love, togetherness and compassion.
